The Truth Way(Journalism Must Be Honest)-

By Dr. Narendra Kumar Shakya, MD – Physician Specialist and Society Welfare Thinker & Advisor

In our country, the standard of journalism has deteriorated badly. To see how far it has fallen, one only needs to watch YouTube—where it often feels like lies are cultivated like crops. Why waste time and resources on meaningless, baseless topics? Journalism is a sensitive profession—it should guide society toward development and truth, not chaos and misinformation.

Even some well-known journalists seem to be caught up in personal interests. As the nation’s economic situation worsens, the quality of journalism has also declined. YouTube journalism, in particular, often appears focused more on sensationalism—chasing likes, comments, and views—rather than truth and public service.

Journalism must be honest, working for the interests of the majority while also respecting minority concerns when needed. Many problems have hidden causes that are difficult to prove, yet journalists must not abandon their duty to seek truth. Journalism should never be selfish, and in the name of democracy, it should not harm anyone.

A strong society requires good journalism—free from bias and focused on national development. People can be good or bad; the bad will always remain bad. Intelligence plays a big role in shaping society, and as the saying goes, “A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.” People should not blindly believe or support everything they see or hear.

The world today is facing economic decline and falling living standards. In such times, people should focus less on chasing money and more on solving problems together. Blaming alone solves nothing; polite and respectful dialogue is needed. Mutual respect and wise problem-solving are the foundations of a healthy society.

Blame culture weakens communities. Everyone should address economic, social, educational, environmental, and employment challenges politely and wisely. Honesty and cleanliness in approach will always lead society forward.
